Choosing an outpatient drug rehab is one of the most significant decisions to make for you or for your loved one. Generally most of the addicts believe that they can overcome their addictions on their own without the help of outside resources. Founded in 2002 by Dr. Ebenezer Kolade, The Center is a private comprehensive substance abuse treatment program that specializes in methadone maintenance. NERC is focused on providing patient-centered care that results in positive health outcomes and behavioral changes.

Many children and adults continue to struggle with learning in the classroom and the workplace. Recent medical research has demonstrated that people with reading disabilities have deficits in the transmission of information to the brain. DR. PHYLLIS LIU BEHAVIORAL OPTOMETRIST specializes in learning-related visual problems for children & adults. Her approach consists of a comprehensive optometric evaluation that assesses eye health (visual acuity & refraction), visual efficiency (accommodation, eye teaming & movement) and information processing (identification, discrimination & spatial awareness).

Dr. Liu creates an individualized management plan that includes treatment, guidance & referral if required. Management may require optical correction, visual therapy or a combination of both. Visual therapy, the science of developing & enhancing visual abilities & remediating vision dysfunctions, has been adopted by the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry & other vision-related organizations. Dr. Liu also deals with traumatic brain injury patients (strokes & accidents). She feels that helping people with learning-related vision problems has been the most gratifying part of her practice.
